According to Billboard, "Daft Punk, the French electronica duo known for their robot personas, have been tapped by Walt Disney Pictures to compose the score for "TR2N", an update of the studio's 1982 science fiction classic "Tron."
"Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter will join director Joseph Kosinski and Lost screenwriters Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz on the Disney project," reports the Guardian. "This will be Daft Punk's first original film score, despite writing much of the music for the Interstella 5555 anime and directing their own sci-fi epic, Electroma."
