David Lynch
Good Day Today by threeminutesthirtyseconds

David Lynch normally confuses me, but if I hadn't seen his psychological cinematic thrillers his music wouldn't make this much sense. Sung through a robot voice and backed with flat, 80s-era percussion, "Good Day Today" debuts today as the start of Mr. Lynch's musical career. Helps to be famous already, huh?

Signing with British independent label Sunday Best, David Lynch has planned a January album release to supplement "Good Day Today" and second single "I Know." Both can be bought on iTunes, and the former can be heard above via SoundCloud. Float away on the magical retro cumulonimbus, my friends.

Also, The Guardian interviewed Mr. Lynch on his movement from the drama of cinema to the drama of music. You can hear and download the interview here and get a preview of his thoughts on joining a label and making music below:

I am very happy to be with Sunday Best with the songs 'Good Day Today' and 'I Know'. This feels like a good partnership and I’m looking forward to everyone having a good day today. In all my films, I have always been very involved with all that one hears. The creation of this record was a natural extension of my love of sound and music.
