I first heard Does It Offend You, Yeah? when my friend blended "Let's Make Out" into a set he was DJing, and I danced so hard to that song that he played it every single time he had a show, or at least, every show that I went to. Their 2008 debut, You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into, has a rich blend of house, electronica, synth pop and a je-ne-sais-quoi electricity that brings all of their tracks popping out of the speakers and into your blood vessels.
From what I've heard of their follow-up due March 15, Don't Say We Didn't Warn You, that electricity has stayed as a constant in their music. "We Are the Dead" was their first single, stream above and snag below, that popped up around five months ago, and now another has surfaced just as they announce tour dates and a tracklisting. "The Monkeys Are Coming" is a playfully serious dance track that will get even the drunk frat boys actin' a fool. Wait, make that especially the drunk frat boys. Unfortunately the soundcloud for it is un-embeddable, so you gotta go to the link to hear it. So aggravating.
But before you go, check out "We Are the Dead" above and a tracklisting and tour dates below.
