Propelled by thumping beats, hand claps, and singer Elizabeth Ziman's restless vocals, Elizabeth & The Catapult's new song "Go Away My Lover" certainly breaks up the monotony of modern day commercial radio. Ziman recently described the song as being influenced by "M.I.A. and Afro Pop" and you can certainly trace those roots. Early praise for the band's sophomore release, out 10/25 via Verve Forecast, calls the record "unique, airy, elegant and charming."
