Come float through the enchanted forest

Holly Miranda

I am loving this song by Holly Miranda called "Joints." There is something almost mystical about it. And I love how it glows, and vibrates, maintaining this baby soft haze around the center that cradles your ear instead of confuses it. It's like walking through an enchanted forest at dusk, the magic hour, where the trees come alive and vapors glide past you. Then the trumpet shows up out of the ether and reminds you that Dave Sitek is on board too. Very TV on the Radio at times, you can see it all over this thing, but that doesn't take away a single thing from Holly. She nails the vocals, matching the haze and invoking just a bit of Jeff Buckley. Basically, it cements what I've been saying about her all along...she's great.
