The Very Best

This player (mtvu.com) didn’t survive.

As I was watching this video for The Very Best's "Warm Heart of Africa," there was a part of my mind that couldn't leave that scene in Wayne's World where Wayne and Garth go in front of a green screen. The one with "Hi. I'm in Delaware." That scene is hilarious and while this video isn't supposed to be funny like the one in Wayne's World, it'll probably make you smile all the same. The quick rundown is the lead singer of The Very Best and Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) get together in front of a green screen and begin dancing/singing the words to an upbeat Afropop song. It's an infectious number and they spend the rest of the video toggling between the streets of New York and superimposed pictures of Africa. Pretty sure you'd have to be dead to not feel happy watching this one. It's bright, it's light and it's carefree; perfect winter cheer-up music for seasonal depression. Enjoy.
