Karen O

A pioneer in aggressive performances, fashion and wild tea vodka, Karen O is bringing her unique vibe to The Creators Project this year with a self-written "psycho opera" about "an assault on the tragic joys of youth." Directed by Adam Rapp, the musical performance was produced by The Creators Project's own The Studio, which are both headed by Vice and Intel.

The Creators Project will also feature visual presentations based on the music and work of David Bowie and Spiritualized. Director Barney Clay, who worked on TV On The Radio's "You," has made a visual remix of Mick Rock's footage of Bowie titled "Life on Mars Revisited," and directors Jonathan Glazer and J. Spaceman created an installation based on Spiritualized called "Untitled (A physical manifestation of 'Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space')," which they debuted earlier this year at Coachella.

Catch all of the presentations from October 13 to 16 in the DUMBO neighborhood in Brooklyn, with Karen O performing at St. Ann's Warehouse. Plus, given the howling intro on her and Trent Reznor's cover of "The Immigrant Song" for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, you can get a pretty solid idea on what her vocal aesthetic may be like from the trailer below:
