LCD Soundsystem are releasing an iTunes-only live-in-studio London-recorded LP on November 9, dubbed The London Sessions. How is this totally, incredibly intriguing and awesome? Because each track will be replicated completely without computers. In fact, LCD shows are dedicated to playing each song without the aid of loops or tracks off a laptop. Anyone who hasn't seen this, including yours truly, would be totally baffled by this, considering their music is notoriously aided by the ferocity of synthesizers and other electronic sounds. Baffled, yet excited.
Recorded in one day one week after the Glastonbury Festival in London, mixed in New York and mastered in Chicago, The London Sessions features tracks from across their discography. The only newbie in the line-up is b-side "Yr City's a Sucker." See the complete list below:
Us v Them
All I Want
Drunk Girls
Get Innocuous
Daft Punk is Playing at My House
All My Friends
Pow Pow
I Can Change
Yr City’s a Sucker
Don't drag your feet in grabbing this though. It'll only be available until December 6.
Also debuting is the music video for "Pow Pow" that got its premiere on MTV.com tonight. Watch Up In the Air star Anna Kendrick perform magical powers:
