Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam's manager, Kelly Curtis, has let the cat out of the bag: aside from a live album and Eddie Vedder's solo Australia tour, the band will be celebrating 20 years of existence with a festival in the summer of 2011. However, Curtis was very hush-hush on what bands might be playing, when it is or where it will be held. Great. There were hints though of it being "somewhere in the middle of the country." Anyone want to start throwing out guesses now?

Keep in mind that festivals have gotten pretty pricey nowadays, so this advance notice is a perfect kick-in-the-ass to open a savings account and start throwing paper in for the tickets and a road trip. Hell, I'd have a bank account just for all the shows and festivals I want to attend. Wait . . . did I just come up with a New Year's Resolution?

Celebrations will continue into the fall with the release of a book, Pearl Jam Twenty, which is an intimate narrative told by the band about the band featuring anecdotes, rare memorabilia and drawings. Milk it for all it's worth, Pearl Jam superfans. The book will be released September 13, 2011, so there's something you can mark your calendar for.
