Wilco

In my first apartment we frequently had Sunday mornings where my roommates would stop being douches for two seconds and make breakfast. Though it wasn't the smell of bacon that always woke me, it was the sound of Bright Eyes. Now when I hear I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning I can't help but remember some of the nicer memories in that cramped 3-bedroom with bacon, eggs and toast.

Similarly, Wilco wants you to think of happy morning memories when their name pops up. They've come out with their own blend of Ethiopian coffee, distributed by Chicago-based roaster Intelligentsia. They've already got sandwiches to make you think of them during lunch, and beers for the happy hour. So the morning was the last time of day they had left to conquer. See what the roaster says about Wilco's flavor:

The body has a light and silky quality, like fresh whipped cream, that beautifully compliments the ever-present note of citron, juniper berry and vanilla. As it cools, the cup blossoms into notes of confectioner’s sugar, rosehips, and soft raisin, resonating on a pristine finish with a touch of milk chocolate.

Um, yes please. From now until November 28 you can pre-order a one-pound bag at Wilco's website, though $21 per pound is pretty steep.

The best part of waking up, is Wilco in your cup!
