In honor of the war veterans recognized on Britain's Armistice Day – the U.K. version of Veteran's Day – Thom Yorke has contributed a charity single that is nothing but two minutes of silence. Its a poignant message that lacks the bombast of most songs honoring a country or its heroes. All money raised from the single, though I imagine it may be hard to market unless you really just want to donate money, will go to the British Legion.
Last year Thom wrote "Harry Patch" with Radiohead in memorial of the last surviving veteran from World War I passing away, which it's purchase not only benefitted the British Legion but Mr. Patch's family as well.
