It's a fair assumption that Ernest Greene, a.k.a. Washed Out, got some awesome press after his song became the opening theme to Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein's Portlandia. It also looks like Sub Pop Records was watching, because now they've added Greene to their roster of artists. Thanks to this awesome record deal, his debut LP, Within and Without, will be out July 12!
With some help from Deerhunter and Animal Collective producer Ben Allen, Washed Out's highly-anticipated album is a welcome follow-up to his first EPs, Life of Leisure and High Times. Check out the tracklisting below and hear the first single "You and I" that was released last year above.
