Bob Dylan

No, this isn't a prank, like the one where the guy ordered 178 pizzas for Bob Dylan. Although it could possibly be the same as selling your soul to the devil for a chance to see hundreds of bands for free.

Well, whether you're willing to sign your soul over in blood or forego superstition to pay homage to a legend, Sony is offering the Remix Project (yeah, not kidding) as a way to stretch your remixing muscles and take Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues" (can be heard above) and make it into something new and magical. Magical enough to win you a full-expense paid trip to SXSW this March.

The Tings Tings give you ideas on how you can approach such a daunting task on the project's website, as well as four simple (ha!) guidelines on how you can remix a timeless piece of music and submit it. The top ten remixes will be placed on Sony's Facebook page and will be left up to fans to be voted into glory and SXSW bliss on January 24.

So wager with yourself. What's more important: preserving Bob in your memory in his original state or mixing him up to go see hundreds of bands FOR FREE. You have twenty days to decide.
