Yo La Tengo

This weekend was one of pleasant surprises, what with Michael Cera popping up with Mister Heavenly, Jeff Mangum emerging from hermitage to play a secret show and now there's motion picture proof that Jeff Tweedy from Wilco performed with Yo La Tengo as part of their eight-night Hanukkah mini-tour.

Having already brought M. Ward, Mission of Burma, Syl Johnson and other guest performers on stage during their holiday celebration, Mr. Tweedy hopped on Yo La Tengo's Friday night show to perform a combination of originals and covers, such as Wilco's "Jesus, Etc." and a modified version of Gary U.S. Bond's "Seven Day Weekend" that became "Eight Day Weekend." You can watch both songs being played below.

Aside from these two gems, they also played Yo La Tengo's "From a Motel 6," Phil Ochs' "Chords of Fame," Bob Dylan's "One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)" and the Coasters' "Shoppin' for Clothes."

There's only three nights left in their eight day extravaganza, so who will they pull out next?
