Korallreven

It doesn’t get much dreamier than a Korallreven set draped in well-lit, smoky colors. Marcus Joons, one of the band’s two studio masterminds – the other is The Radio Dept’s Daniel Tjäder – has admitted to sometimes falling into a trance while playing shows; it’s hard to blame him. On Friday at the Hype Hotel the Swedish melody-makers were in top form, infusing a warm glow into the traditionally icy Scandanavian sound. One of SXSW’s best acts, and a band to watch in the future.
