The second act in the Ozomatli curated Latino Alternativo tent was one of the more outlandish to grace Bonnaroo's mainstages. Wearing t-shirts that read, "Yo Digo Baila Tu Dices Dance," the Mexican Institute of Sound wove bombastic sound collages reminiscent of Project Jenny Project Jan's more frantic work. It was a high energy, ridiculous affair - exaggerated actions on stage to match the exaggerated music emanating from the speakers. It was bold, but deservedly so; the complete lack of pretension complemented the trio's self-aware good nature perfectly. They dijeron "baila," and we totally did.
