I had figured if a band named Breathe Owl Breathe would be making something for children, it would feature an owl, yes? Yet the trio of musicians has been working on two children's songs for a 7" and wood cut prints for a fundraising project called Something For the Kidz featuring an ostrich, a mole and a lullaby.
Judging by the sentence structure on their Kickstarter page where you can pledge money, the funds will go towards the record/book combo and there are special prizes for pledges depending on the amount contributed. Prizes range from having your name mentioned on the book, autographed copies, handmade pillows and capes to a sleepover with the band where they provide chips.
The pledging ends on November 22, and so far they have raised almost $10 grand! Watch the video to hear more from the band and see some of the well-crafted prints. The ostrich is my favorite.
