Fifty-word review

Bon Iver

8.9 out of 10

A bucolic, mellifluous ripple of eloquence from the Midwestern hinterlands that is both effervescent and demure. Each song is as much a careful meditation on individual sounds as the album is a coherent, thematic whole. If Vernon’s words were more comprehensible, this album would break the heart of an echinoderm.
