If you're looking for a repetitive, common bass beat that sounds like it was made in two seconds, well you've found it. But if that's all you're going to focus on when listening to STS9's latest single "Scheme," then you're going to miss out on a lot. Accompanying that steady beat with shimmering synths, a scrambled lyric concentrating on the line "move your body" and punctuated shifts in tone, the first track off their upcoming EP, When the Dust Settles, balances enough redundancy with poignancy to remind your body why it should listen to the garbled vocals. Move your body from left to right to the track above while you wait for the rest of the EP to drop June 7.
