Kevin Jack

Kevin Jack’s set at Aces Lounge on Wednesday had a distinctly made-at-home feel. Jack brought an accomplice by the name of Drastik onto the stage, along with a back-up lyricist and a 3-man band. At the end of the show they passed out homemade burned CDs. It was a family affair, and had all the charisma of a good reunion; the two emcees played off of each other well, and the backing band seemed like they’d been playing together for a long time. A fun way to kick off the first night of SXSW.
