If there are winners and losers in music festivals, well, Glasser is a complete winner. After building up some buzz with an opening slot in front of Cut Copy's fantastic concert on the Williamsburg Waterfront earlier this summer, Glasser turned even more heads during CMJ and #Offline, with tight sets that were fun to watch. They were one of the names most frequently tossed around post-fest, and with good reason. Churning electronic backgrounds cut with samples and drum kits provide a stark backdrop for lead singer Cameron Mesirow's floating vocals, a fantastic blend of cool and warm. At #Offline, Mesirow wore a red dress and was a vision on stage; her counterparts wore full-body olive green jumpsuits. The contrast was intentional. Glasser is part technician and part creator, and that blend or craftsmanship and artisanship is what sets them apart.
